About
Leighton Davis Henderson has investigated all types of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints, as well as allegations of employee misconduct, from bullying to timecard fraud. She began her employment law career 15 years ago, litigating discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims and advising clients on all types of employment matters. While this advocacy role sharpened her analytical skills, deepened her knowledge of employment law, and gave her a sophisticated understanding of the legal and practical challenges organizations face, over time Ms. Henderson found she was passionate about providing professional services from a neutral role. Drawing on her attention to detail, active listening skills, and ability to navigate difficult and emotionally-charged situations, Ms. Henderson approaches investigations with impartiality, professionalism, and care. Ms. Henderson understands that workplace investigations can be stressful for everyone involved, so she works as efficiently as possible.
Ms. Henderson is an active member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI). She earned her AWI Certificate and serves as full-time faculty at the weeklong AWI Training Institutes, training on such topics as evidence and investigation report writing.
Ms. Henderson is licensed to practice law in California (Cal. Bar No. 281123).
When not investigating, Ms. Henderson writes, walks, and generally stresses over the health of her citrus trees.
